Are you sick and tired of the attacks on public schools? VERY SOON, we’ll have an opportunity to begin turning all that around.
First step? Check your voter registration!
You can do a quick check online to verify that your registration is up-to-date or to change your address. Not yet registered? Just print and complete the official voter registration form and mail it in today! You must be registered by July 8 in order to vote in the August 6 Primary Election – which is very, very important. Many races will be decided on August 6.
If you will be out of town or otherwise unable to vote on August 6, you must cast your absentee ballot by August 3. Get information about voting absentee here.
And be sure to check out what each candidate has to say about public education on our Candidate Q&A web site.
Public school educators, parents, and supporters make up the largest voting bloc in Mississippi, and there are many candidates, in both parties, running on a public education platform. See our Election Toolkit to find a step-by-step guide to electing state leaders who value public schools.
Please get involved today! Forward this email to 10 friends. Share our Facebook posts. Text 10 friends and ask them to check their voter registration. Register five new voters.
Did you know that a teenager who turns 18 by the November 5 Election is eligible to vote in the August 6 Primary? Let’s get those teens registered now!
Our children are counting on us. And together, we’ve got this!
