We Can Do This

When the 2024 Legislature convenes in just over a month, we will be there. My colleagues and I at The Parents’ Campaign promise to be your eyes and ears at the Capitol. We will let you know about important bills that help – or harm – your schools, what the impact will be, if and how bills are amended, and when important votes are coming.

We’ll make it easy for you to weigh in on issues that really matter, like fully funded public schools, broad access to high quality pre-k, and professional salaries for teachers – as well as the harmful voucher and tax credit schemes that could devastate our public schools and communities.

That takes resources. And that’s where we need your help today: https://msparentscampaign.nationbuilder.com/donate

Your gift of $10, $20, $100, or more to The Parents’ Campaign can ensure that legislators hear directly from you – the people they were elected to serve. I hope that you will trust us with your monetary support. All donations through Giving Tuesday, November 28, will be doubled thanks to matching funds from an anonymous donor.

Like all of us, legislators tend to be most responsive to constituents who are paying attention. Our goal is to make it easy for you to stay informed so that your voice will resonate. We’ll do the legwork – reading, researching, and analyzing the local impact of every education bill – then provide summaries so that you can develop and share an informed opinion.

If each of us does our part to reach out to our legislators with clear-eyed, knowledgeable advocacy on behalf of public school children, we can win the day for our children and teachers. With your help, we can make that happen.
Thank you for standing with us these past 17 years. Together, we have made great strides for public schools and the children they serve. Your support makes all the difference!

With a grateful heart,
Nancy Loome
