We have so many reasons to be thankful!
For starters, we are exceedingly thankful for our rock star public school teachers, who are doing what many thought impossible. 
In a state accustomed to bottom-tier rankings on the good lists and top-tier rankings on the bad ones, our public school teachers have defied the odds, landing Mississippi in the number-one spot in growth in student achievement. Remarkably, they are doing so with greater challenges and fewer resources than just about any other state. Our teachers are among life’s greatest blessings for the thousands of children whose lives they are changing for the better. And they are a blessing for our state, having checked a box that was not on their long to-do lists: gifting Mississippi with rare positive national attention.
We are thankful, too, for…
…assistant teachers, secretaries, bus drivers, cafeteria workers, custodians, school leaders, and the countless others in public schools who aid and amplify those all-important endeavors;
…legislators who honor and support the life-altering work being done in our public schools;
…thousands upon thousands of you who are standing in the gap for Mississippi children, fighting for strong public schools in every community. Mississippi is a better state because of you.
And we are thankful for your support of The Parents’ Campaign for 17 amazing years. Your volunteerism and monetary gifts are the underpinning of our success: increased funding for public schools, teacher pay raises, better access to high quality pre-k, defeat of countless voucher bills, and so much more. Our every accomplishment is because of you.
