Mississippians of all political persuasions love their public schools, and they are expressing that support at the ballot box! Proof positive can be found in the results of recent special elections for state House and Senate seats.
The newly formed Mississippi Public Education PAC (MSPEPAC) is making it easy for voters to identify and support candidates who run on a pro-public education platform, and thus far, the PAC has a perfect record!
It endorsed its first three candidates in recent special elections, and these candidates swept all three races! The newly elected MSPEPAC-endorsed legislators are:
Rep. Kevin Ford-R, House Dist. 54
Rep. Cheikh Taylor-D, House Dist. 38
Sen. Joel Carter-R, Senate Dist. 49
The nonpartisan PAC was formed by a group of Mississippi parent volunteers. It supports candidates – irrespective of party – who agree with the PAC’s pro-public school values, offering public endorsements, monetary donations, and ground support to candidates. The PAC is seeking new candidates and incumbent legislators to endorse in future elections, and they welcome donations and volunteers.
