It’s time to look ahead to the next 15 years…what do our children need to succeed?
When public schools win, we all win. The quality of our public schools drives the quality of our communities. Our teachers, all Mississippians, and most importantly our children, deserve the very best that we can give them.
The next twelve months will be critical. Legislators will be conducting hearings on and studies of make-or-break issues for our state: how to compensate our teachers – the most important factor in school quality – and how to pay for it.
As we look toward the pivotal next steps in our journey toward a brighter future, the strength of our membership has never been more essential. In celebration of our 15 years of work together, there are two important things you can do to help us…
Working side by side with you these last 15 years to improve the life-chances of Mississippi children has been one of the greatest privileges of my life. Thank you for standing with me! Now, let’s get to work on the next 15. Our children are counting on us.
