Someone Who’s Making a Difference for Our Children

Standing up for children in public schools comes naturally for Martha Davis, and as a staunch supporter of the Cleveland School District, she makes it a part of her daily life. But her efforts extend well beyond her local schools. As a both-feet-in member of The Parents’ Campaign, she is making a difference for Mississippi children statewide.

That’s why we’ve named Martha Davis The Parents’ Campaign’s first Member of the Quarter.

As a longtime member of our grassroots network, Martha relies on our emails and social media posts to stay up to date on issues affecting public schools. But she doesn’t stop there. “Every time we ask public school supporters to use their voices to speak up for Mississippi children, Martha jumps in to help, regularly contacting her legislators and state leaders to express her views on education legislation and policies, sharing our advocacy messages via social media, and recruiting others to join our efforts,” says Karen Johnson, Director of Outreach for The Parents’ Campaign.”

Congratulations, Martha, and THANK YOU for being a real difference maker!

Advocates like Martha make The Parents’ Campaign successful. That’s why we will be recognizing a Member of the Quarter four times each year, lifting up the ways they advocate for public schools, and acknowledging their efforts with a $50 Visa gift card – a small token of our appreciation for all the ways they improve the lives of Mississippi children.

The approaching summer months are a great time to help us spread the word about The Parents’ Campaign. If you’ve got 15 minutes to spare and want to help, email “I’ll help!” to info@msparentscampaign.org and we’ll be in touch with some quick and easy ways you can help us expand our network. Because, as Martha Davis knows, together, we’ve got this!
