Voter Registration Deadline Monday, Oct. 7

As staunch supporters of public education, and as adults in a representative democracy, we have an obligation to do our part to elect public officials at every level of government who are committed to supporting and protecting our public schools. To do that, we must be registered to vote, and we must make it a habit to go to the polls on each and every election day. Many of you will have important school board elections on your ballot in November.

Next Monday, October 7, is the deadline to register to vote. Please share this voter registration link with others you know and encourage them to register by the Monday deadline. Mississippi does not offer online voter registration, only mail-in or in-person.

Sometimes during routine voter roll maintenance, the registrations of lawful voters are mistakenly purged. Therefore we all should check regularly to ensure that our voter registration status is active, particularly those who occasionally skip a primary or general election. Check your voter registration status at this link.
