When it comes to supporting public schools, Solomon Barnett is the real deal! A resident of Heidelberg, Solomon knows that strong public schools are the backbone of our communities, and he is doing his part to ensure that his community and his public schools remain strong.
That’s why we’ve named Solomon Barnett The Parents’ Campaign’s Member of the Quarter.
An enthusiastic member of The Parents’ Campaign, Solomon is fiercely committed to making certain that the voices of public school supporters in his community are heard at the State Capitol. He frequently reaches out to our team for the latest education updates, and he shares The Parents’ Campaign’s information and resources with others. His efforts ensure that local advocates in his school district are well-equipped to contact their legislators on behalf of their children and teachers.
“Solomon works tirelessly to engage the members of his community in public education advocacy,” says Karen Johnson, Director of Outreach for The Parents’ Campaign. “He acts as our boots on the ground, helping to get the word out about what our children need and encouraging advocates to speak up for public schools.”
Congratulations, Solomon, and THANK YOU for making a difference in the lives of Mississippi children!
Advocates like Solomon make The Parents’ Campaign successful. That’s why we recognize a Member of the Quarter four times each year, lifting up the ways they advocate for public schools, and acknowledging their efforts with a $50 Visa gift card – a small token of our appreciation for all the ways they improve the lives of Mississippi children.
This is a great time to help us spread the word about The Parents’ Campaign. Take a moment to reach out to your friends and neighbors and encourage them to join our network. They can sign up online here. Because, as Solomon Barnett knows, together, we’ve got this!
