A big THANK YOU to everyone who voted on Tuesday – it was a great day for our children, our teachers, and our public schools! Election 2023 is shaping up to be a good one for public education, but we still have a lot of work to do. A number of primary races resulted in runoff elections, which will be held on August 29, and many will be decided in the General Election on November 7.
Check our Candidate Q&A website to find which candidates for statewide office and in your legislative districts were successful in the Primary Election, which have runoffs on August 29, and which will have contested General Election races in November. You’ll also find candidates’ responses to our survey asking where they stand on important education issues. There are a few primary races for which the final outcome has not yet been determined. We will update our site as those results are made public.
If your candidate is in a runoff or has a contested General Election race, consider volunteering to help out with her/his campaign. Our Election Toolkit makes it easy! And be sure to know where each candidate stands on education issuesbefore heading back to the polls. If you aren’t yet registered to vote, you can print, complete, and mail in this form and be ready to vote in November!
We’ve got great momentum moving into the General Election cycle. Let’s pull out all the stops and push this one across the finish line for a great election day victory for our children and teachers. Together, we’ve got this!
