Next Tuesday, November 4, is an important day in 17 legislative districts in DeSoto County, Northeast Mississippi, the Jackson Metro, the Delta, and the Pine Belt. Six House districts and eleven Senate districts will hold special elections for state legislative seats, some because of forced redistricting and some due to vacancies, and it is critical that we elect public school supporters to those posts. You can see here what the candidates have to say about important education issues like vouchers, school funding, and teacher pay. Please check out the candidates’ positions on public education, and share this information with others in your district.
If you can’t make it to the polls on Tuesday, you can vote absentee in person today (Thursday) or tomorrow (Friday) from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until noon.
