2012 Election

Special Election

On Tuesday, November 27, a runoff election will be held to fill the seats in Senate District 19 and House District 52 that are open due to mid-term retirements*.  A Special Election to fill the seats was held in conjunction with the General Election on November 6, 2012, but no candidate in either race received a majority vote, therefore a runoff will be held on November 27 between the top two candidates in each race.

Runoff Election Day, Tuesday, November 27, 2012

Polls open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 7:00 p.m.

*State Senator Merle Flowers, who represented DeSoto County's Senate District 19, and State Senator Tommy Woods, who represented DeSoto County and Marshall County in House District 52, both resigned from the State Legislature in July.
